On August 10th, my good friend and yours, Cory Manning, had a pretty severe motorcycle accident that ended with having his right arm amputated and damn near his right leg. He’s in good spirits though, as you can see from the picture. He’s even made some pretty tasteless, yet funny, jokes about the whole thing. The real deal is this. As long as I’ve known Corey, he’s been a “get things done” kinda cat. When he played in The Riot Before, he was the guy that made the moves. He’s the dude who brought a co-op motorcycle garage called Engine and Frame to Richmond. Everything he’s done in this life for a living has involved his hands. He’s a knucklehead with a heart of gold and a tiring work ethic. I’ve put this thing together with the intention of relieving some of the worry that might come with being out of work for a bit. The worry that might come from the bills piling up. Just the worries in general. It’d be cool if he could just focus on learning how to navigate life with a bum wing and not have to sweat any of the other shit. Also, his beloved Darby Crash is currently in foster care with some very cool people who wanted to help the situation best they could. But, we wanna get him his pup back as soon as possible. So here we are. Trying to make moves for the dude who’s always making the moves. If you know him, send him a message letting him know you’re glad he’s still here.
